Christian Eriksen signs for Manchester United until 2025
English Premier League club Manchester United have officially announced the signing of Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen. Manchester United have signed a contract with Christian Eriksen, who is currently a free agent, until 2025. The senior Danish midfielder has been brought into the Manchester United squad to fill the void left by Paul Pogba.
The 30-year-old midfielder is certainly a great addition for Manchester United. Eriksen, who played a lot for the English club Tottenham Hotspur, scored 51 goals in 226 games in the Tottenham Hotspur jersey. After playing for Italian club Inter Milan and English club Brentford, Eriksen arrives at United.
Eriksen began his senior career with Dutch club Ajax. Eriksen has signed with the English club thanks to the efforts of Manchester United coach Erik Ten Hag, who is Ajax coach in previous seasons. Eriksen made his first reaction after the official announcement.
“Manchester United is a special club and I can’t wait to play there. Ten Hag is a great coach, I spoke with him. I’m more excited when I think about the future,” Eriksen said. Dutch club Ajax’s Argentinian center-back Lisandro Martinez is United’s potential next signing this transfer season. There are also reports that United have agreed a deal with the 24-year-old until 2027.
