UEFA Nations League 2022/23 ; All you need to know
2022-23 marks the start of the third edition of UEFA Nations League. Instead of friendly matches between European teams, the crown league, organized by UEFA, takes place at FIFA’s international intervals. The current 55 UEFA national teams are divided into 4 leagues based on their promotion and relegation system.
League divisions
The first three leagues have four groups and the last league has two groups. The first three leagues feature 16 teams each and the last league has 7 teams. To determine which national team will play where, the UEFA rankings are taken into account.
In the case of League A, the top finishers in each group advance to the final four. Meanwhile, the top finishers in each group in League B move up to the top league. The finalists in each group will be relegated to the next Lower League at next season. In League C, the finalists in each group must play a relegation playoff in which the losing two teams fall into League D, from where the top two winners move up. Now let’s see the groups and the fixture
